I know there’s more to a healthy lifestyle than fad diets and unsustainable exercise regimes. I know there’s a gap between what you know you need to do to be healthy and happy and the motivation you need to actually make and sustain those changes. As your coach I can help bridge that gap.
I’m here to gently guide you along the journey to a healthier, calmer, more positive you. I’ll support you to make lifestyle changes gradually and to transform your emotional, mental and physical wellbeing. Exactly what that healthier life looks like is entirely up to you.

I’m on a mission to help you to thrive
I know first-hand the damage that fatigue and stress, whatever its cause, can do to your life.
I’ve always been a tenacious person, a real ‘go getter’. I worked hard and played hard, travelling the world in a successful career that spanned military, corporate and charity sectors. I loved keeping fit and skiing and was happiest when I was on, in or next to the sea!
Over a number of years my body slowly began to struggle, almost everything that I loved and that lit up my world was taken away from me and I felt like a shadow of my former self. Although on the outside I looked like I was thriving, on the inside I was barely surviving. I’d gone from being a ‘go getter’ to spending most of the day in bed or on the sofa, and was eventually diagnosed with CFS/ME (Chronic Fatigue Syndrome/ Myalgic Encephalomyelitis).
Looking back now I can see that for years my body had been whispering to me “Kara, all is not well”. But I was so disconnected from my own body that I didn’t hear it, until it screamed at me and gave me no choice but to stop, listen and take action.
I took the decision to leave my job to focus on my health and wellness. I needed to give my body time to properly rest without the pressure of trying, and failing, to return to a job that I knew was contributing to burnout.
A new journey
A nutritional therapist helped me to identify and begin to treat some of the underlying causes of my illness, and this kickstarted my interest in functional medicine.
I have experienced first-hand the transformative power of making simple, sustainable lifestyle changes. Although my body is still slowly healing, I am living a happier and healthier life and I am full of hope and excitement for the future. My mission is to help you to feel the same
When I stumbled across health coaching, it was love at first sight. Studying preventative health and mind-body medicine, I knew I’d found my role in life. I trained with the highly respected Functional Medicine Coaching Academy – the gold standard in health coach training and the only programme designed in collaboration with the Institute for Functional Medicine.
I am a member of both the UK Health Coaching Association & the Functional Medicine Coaching Academy and work within their scope of practice.
